About Us

We are two handsome students who want to motivate young people who are studying Computer Science to apply and test their skills in a real life environment. We just recently found out that Google hosts a yearly event called Hashcode, in which google invites students all across the world to participate in a competition to find theoretical and practical solutions for real world problems. We think this would offer a great opportunity to break through the sometimes boring daily routine.

What's a Google Hash Code Event?

An Event where everbody can join. Test your skills and use your powers.

  • The Hash Code Event is a team based programming competition hosted by Google. Each teams will be made of two to four students. Groups of teams can be arranged into so called Hubs. A hub is just a place where teams are working and sitting together throughout the event. Normally each University will have it's own Hub.
  • On 11.02.2016 at 6.30 pm Google will publish a task and all teams will compete to find the best solution. the time limit is four hours. The task will be a theoretical scenario for a real world problem, which you can try to solve.
  • the Winners will be invited to Paris to participate in the finals.
  • You have nothing to lose but much to gain!

  • It will be the best time of your life, don't miss this opportunity!

Event FAQs

Everyone who is enlisted in a german university and has a knack for logical thinking and problem solving can tag along. You dont have to be an expert programmer, having listened to a couple of lectures will be sufficient! If needed, we will mix the teams accordingly.

You dont need to be the best student in class. Some basic knowledge of computer science will suffice. if you've heard some lectures like MAFI I or ALP I you are ready to go.

Nothing but joy and enthusiasm! You can bring your own laptop, however we will provide some computers if needed. Just keep in mind that the event will take a couple of hours, we will try to offer some refreshments, but just in case bring something to eat and drink.

If you have a couple of friends on the get go, that's absolutly fine. There's no problem if you come by alone either, we will set up teams on site
The actual Hash Code Event on 11.02.2016 will last from 6.30 pm to 10.30 pm. We will provide two extra classes for preparation, those will last from about 4 pm to 8 pm, feel free to join them.
